BIOGRAPHY

In high school, I was known as a percussionist- performing in our multiple

concert bands, our jazz band, and many extracurricular groups. These groups

included a pep band, run and organized by myself, and a pit orchestra where I

played keyboard as well as directed multiple rehearsals. In addition to these

school bands, I have been involved in multiple province wide ensembles. These

include the University of Alberta Honour Band, the Alberta Wind Symphony and the Northern Alberta

Junior Honour Band. On the national concert band stage, I have submitted an audition for the

National Youth Band, which resulted in a backup position that was halted due to COVID-19. In the

latter half of my high school career, I was elected as our Music Council President, which allowed me to represent all my music peers in a student council. In this role, I learnt valuable leadership and organizational skills, culminating in an online live-streamed fundraiser which raised our school music program close to $5000. These funds go towards instruments and experiences for students who go into my school after me.
